As more information is gained on a Consumer each time he/she interacts with your business, the more you know.  With this knowledge of Consumer spending habits, preferences, value to the business and other metrics, you can tailor messages to fit the Consumer.  For example, if you know he/she is a vegetarian, then this person would more likely respond to a message around a new vegetarian entree than a new steak entree. Consumers  feel like you are paying attention to them rather than getting the same message or offer everyone else receives.   If you know he/she spends a large amount of money with your business each month, but for the last two months has not spent anything, you could send a message to remind them to come back. Customer Marketing Services and the Closed-Loop

How does Consumer Marketing Services tie into the Closed-Loop? Consumer Marketing Services works with the MIND, DEFINED and REMIND elements of the Closed-Loop. By collecting information from applications the Consumers have used, you are MINDing the data by attaching preferences to the Consumer Profiles.  The dashboard is also part of the MIND element as it displays information that was collected in the BIND element such as reservation information.  The dashboard, Consumer Profile and Intelligent Marketing Engine (iME) all partake in the DEFINED element as various pieces of Consumer information are combined to provide one single view of the Consumer and analytics to sort/segment Consumers based on their value to the business.  iME is used to determine messages that should be sent to REMIND Consumers to come back.
