We offer it in two formats: electronic (eGift) and traditional plastic. eGift allows Merchants to sell gift cards via their website for immediate delivery making it fast and easy for their Consumers.

Last minute gifts couldn’t be easier, eliminating the time to shop and ship. eGift is sent right to the recipient’s email or by text message and can be used online immediately or printed and taken to your business for redemption. Consumers can also use their mobile device to show the bar code in order to redeem. Consumers can check their balance or reload their Gift at any time online.
eGift and the Closed-Loop
How does eGift tie into the Closed-Loop? eGift helps your business with the FIND, BIND, GRIND and REMIND elements of the Closed-Loop. When Consumers are looking to purchase an eGift, they will FIND your business via online and they will BIND and GRIND with your business when they make their purchase. With eGift having the capability to gather opt-in information on the recipient and sender, you can also send future marketing messages to encourage them to come back.

eGift currently only works with Mercury Payment Systems (MPS). Therefore, in order to utilize eGift, you will need to use MPS to process your credit card payments and operate your plastic gift card program.
